Dorothy’s nurse called this afternoon with an update that because of her difficulty breathing today, they have decided to not perform the CT scan today after all. They are now planning it for either tomorrow or Sunday.
Are all her infections (viral, bacterial, and now fungal) isolated to her lungs or do they know? Sorry the news was not better today. Her poor body is having to fight so hard.
The viral and bacterial infections were definitely in the lungs. I don’t think they really know about the fungal infection as it was something they detected in Dorothy’s urine. The doctor says that they are usually not too concerned with it, but given Dorothy’s other conditions, they are treating for it out of an abundance of caution.
I’m so sorry that Dorothy’s struggle (and all of your’s really) has been so difficult. You all continue to be in my prayers. Thank you for keeping us updated.
Brian, are there any updates at all today? We are still praying for Dorothy and for your family.
